Thanos AMC AASD15A

How to setup Thanos AASD15A to use the FlyPT controller solution.

For any support regarding the hardware, use the Thanos Discord Channel.

Here, there's just info on how to connect with Mover.

Setup the module

  • Select the port connected to the controller.

  • Select the rig module you want to use or the actuators keys you want to use.

By selecting the rig, Mover puts the actuators in the order expected by the controller and locks the selection, keeping actuators selection free for the extra actuators.

Setup the rigs and directs

  • Change the actuators bit output to 16 bits.

If you are defining a rig, go to the rig module and change it there.

If you are using a direct, change it in the direct.

Actuators order

Here's something causing a big mess!

By default, Mover uses actuator #1 as the first actuator at the front right of the rig.
So for a SFX100 based rig, in Mover, actuator #1 is the front right.
Actuator number increases in the clock order.
Same happens for hexapods. First actuator at the front right is the #1.

Inside Mover, calculations of each actuator are made taking this into consideration.

The problem here, is that Thanos uses a different order.
At the right, there's a table relating the actuators from Mover to Thanos.

Don't make it more confusing than what it is right now.

On the hardware side, connect the controller to the actuators using the order established by Thanos.

Then on the Thanos output module, just choose the rig and the auto generated order shown is corrected from Mover to Thanos.

You can also swapp the connections from the actuators to the controller, but it will cause confusion. Please keep the hardware at Thanos specs and follow what the software gives you automatically.
